Farewell Day 1:  The full day will be spent visiting the Capital's most famous sights, the Washington Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Capitol Building, Smithsonian Institute, Veterans' Memorial, National Archives and Library of Congress. We will spend our last evening in Washington DC, enjoying a theater production at the Kennedy Center and a photo opportunity outside The White House. We will continue our journey to Philadelphia for a quick stop at Independence National Park, home to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall (where the Declaration of Independence was drafted). See the steps where "Rocky" worked out, and explore a little bit of the town's historic sections, Olde City, and Society Hill before heading to the Big Apple, New York. We have a full day of excitement ahead of us, as we continue our tour of New York City. We will, visit Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, Times Square and take a ferry in the harbor for a photo of the Statue of Liberty. Our tour will take us to South street Seaport, Wall Street, Greenwich Village, Soho, Chinatown and Little Italy. We will climb the Empire State Building and enjoy dinner in Times Square, surrounded by all the lights.   Fly into into and home from Newark Airport (ewr) . Arrive at EWR airport between noon and 6 PM.  Depart EWR Airport from 9 AM to 2 PM . we  may be able to accomidate students returning to Europe from other airports.
